Who Are We?

Husk Architectural specialise in the design and manufacture of high quality metal cladding, mainly: Non combustible aluminium and aluminium composite material (ACM), fibre cement and high pressure laminate panels for use in architectural cladding, rainscreen and facade systems.

Part of The Guttercrest Group, we’ve been established for over 30 years, manufacturing Non combustible ACM panels, aluminium fascias, soffits and rainwater goods. With a rich history that includes fitting the product in the early days, we understand the challenges faced on site and strive to make the design, ordering and delivery process as efficient as possible. We also offer technical advice before, during and after delivery of our products.

Manufactured in our 200,000 sq ft factory units, centrally located in Shropshire, we have an outstanding range of machinery that allow us to make almost any cladding design a reality.  Our fascia, soffit and façade panels are already in use on, and suitable for commercial, residential, hospitals and schools around the country and overseas. Our contemporary facades are ideal to enhance the aesthetics of new builds or refurbish existing buildings.

A Brief History

Founded in 1980 as a small family business in Oswestry, Shropshire, we were initially involved in the manufacture and installation of aluminium seamless gutters and downpipes.  Over time this led to the range of aluminium rainwater goods expanded to include fascias, soffits, copings and architectural fabrications. During the mid-80s we expanded into manufacturing, developing an extensive portfolio of aluminium rainwater goods.

After many years of successful installation works, in 2004 the business took the decision to concentrate solely on the design and manufacture of aluminium rainwater goods. Our philosophy of thinking as an installer and not just a manufacturer remains with us today. The site experience gained over 25 years has been retained within our design, technical and specification teams – many of whom have been with us since the eighties – and expertly guide customers through the specification process every day.

In 2015 we increased production capacity by 160%, taking our space to 65,000 sq. ft., investing in a high bay racking system to increase stock levels and improve distribution. In 2017 we further strengthened our product range, obtaining Ali-Fabs coping from ABP, which includes the only BBA approved coping system in the UK.

In 2018 Guttercrest split its business interests into three different areas; Guttercrest for rainwater goods, Ali-Fabs for coping and Husk Architectural for rainscreen cladding.
